Apartament Janacek 1B

Poorly lit entry way. Front door that was within inches of front steps so unlocking the door was hazardous -- we nearly fell down the steps a few times forgetting that standing in front of the door meant one foot had to be down onto a set of stairs. The floor was a fairly dirty -- we discovered that when we spilled some flour one day and sweeping it up swept up way more than flour. The bathroom's towel heater didn't work. Neither did the bidet. But other than that, it was rather nice.

We booked this as a self-catering apartment for about 10 days. But some of the facilities for cooking were very limited compared to the excellent apartments we have experienced in Germany Belgium and France. For example, there were no utensils we could use in the oven and we were forced to buy some from Tesco ! Also one of the inside windows in the bedroom had gone, and so the bedroom got cold very quickly at hight. The bath plug was broken when we arrived but someone must have reported this, and a man turned up one day to mend it before we reported it ourselves. The side of the bath was loose too. The broadband connection box cover was broken, though it worked OK. The TV remote control cover was broken - it looks as if someone had dropped it on the hard floor. Again it still worked OK.
